FS: 1966 Porsche 912 Gulf Blue fun car

    1966 Porsche 912

    $65,000

Fully restored California car with only 45,000 original miles on it.

    10,000 miles on complete restoration.

    1720cc rally engine with 120hp.

    All original parts, no reproductions.

Bilstein shocks, upgraded bushings, Chrome Lemmerz with new 165 vintage tires.

Bare metal paint job single stage Glasurit Gulf Blue paint.

    Auto's International interior.

    Ready to enjoy!

This car was owned by one of the original S Reg members, he might chime in as he used it for a number of years while his 67S was being restored. It is an above average car, fun driver with a show condition restoration. It is not a 100 point collectible with all history but it is a great car you can take anywhere and not worry about it.

I just love all the subtle mods you did Mark ! The 904 style triple gauge, the painted dash complete with proper knee pad & lets not forget the classy square weave wool carpet. I dont mind the painted dash on this 66 just because of the Gulf Blue color. It just works !

Thanks JB, couple 912 guys were saying that painted dash not original - neither is the engine. This car was built for fun and touring around, I did a number of subtle mods to it but all in Porsche flavor/style. Some painted dash cars pop and some don't, this blue is great on a painted dash.

This is actually the perfect car for a 356 guy that doesn't want to drive his high dollar restored car on a run with some questionable roads. I did one of these 912s for Marco of Eleven parts in Switzerland, he drove it on the Trans American rally a few years ago and they drove in mud and snow and everything else. Also perfect as a donor car for a Polo engine. Or go against all convention and put an electric motor in it and I will discount and keep the current engine - I can supply a Tesla motor/drive unit! Or just use it as it as is. It is a well sorted car.
