'. . . This 1972 Porsche 911S coupe was delivered new to a captain in the Canadian military, who was stationed in Germany at that time. Finished in Emerald Green over beige, the car left the factory optioned with US equipment, a limited-slip differential, Koni shocks, tinted glass, and a driver’s sport seat. Power is provided by the numbers-matching flat-six engine, which has been enlarged to 2.7 liters but retains mechanical fuel injection. The first owner reportedly relocated the car to San Diego in 1979 and kept it until the mid-2000s, when it was acquired by the current owner. Additional features include a five-speed manual transaxle, hood-mounted driving lights, 15″ Fuchs wheels, and patterned cloth seat inserts. This 911S is now being offered on behalf of the current owner with a copy of the original order sheet, factory manuals and tools, records, and a clear California title . . .

Delivered from the factory in Emerald Green (3838), the body has received some paint and body work during current ownership. Rust repair was performed on the driver-side lower rocker just behind the wheel well, and the area was then repainted. Filler from a previous repair on the passenger-side quarter panel was also removed, the sheet metal was reshaped, and that area was repainted . . .

Driving lamps and a passenger’s sideview mirror have been added, reportedly at the request of the first owner. The 15” Fuchs alloys wear a set of 195/60 Yokohama tires. Braking is managed by four-wheel vented discs, and replacement Koni Classic shocks are fitted at each corner . . .

This car was delivered new with a sport seat for the driver and a standard passenger seat. A sport seat was sourced for the passenger side during current ownership, and in 2005 both seats were re-trimmed in beige leatherette with plaid inserts by Autobahn Interiors of San Diego, California. The standard passenger seat is included as shown in the gallery below . . .

Stock VDO instrumentation, including a 150-mph speedometer and tachometer with a 7,300-rpm redline, remains fitted behind a four-spoke steering wheel. 48k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer. A modern CD head unit can be seen in some photos, though a period-correct Blaupunkt radio has recently been reinstalled . . .

The 911/53 flat-six is equipped with Bosch MFI and was reportedly rebuilt to 2.7-liter RS specifications in 2005. An oil change was performed approximately 200 miles ago . . .

Stamping *6321828* is shown above and matches the order sheet, confirming originality of the engine. Transaxle stamping 7339061 can be seen in the gallery below . . .

Power is routed through a Type 915 five-speed transaxle equipped with an optional limited-slip differential. More than 70 additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below . . .

The original dealership order sheet is shown above, listing the factory configuration, engine number, and options . . .

. . . Grand Prix Classics in San Diego, California performed a general inspection and addressed a number of small repairs in April 2019. The 13-page report, complete with photos, can be reviewed in the gallery. A driving video is shown below
