I've only followed these two by what you see on Ebay or other sales sites. We all laugh at the quality of the cars, but can't imagine anybody buying without the expectation of expensive restoration. Any PPi should only be so see what parts the car has. Kumar seems to have gathered some interesting Lancias. Selling a '67 now for $36,000.00. Sounds like its running but will need a lot of work. Certainly buyer beware if you want to drive away a "driver" quality car but if you are looking for a unique car eligible for all the classic Euro evens (Mille Miglia, etc.) its a good starting point. I would always look at these shop with an eye to a project car and not a daily driver or better.
I think Gullwing is the largest seller of classic forieghn cars in the states. He started out basically dragging cars out of fields and wrecking yards and then the barn find thing happened and he blew up. And he was already big but now he could also buy million dollar cars to sell at auction. Most of his car though are problem cars. Many other dealers around the country sell off to Kumar the cars they can’t or don’t want to sell. At this point he has a smattering of warehouses in queens and you is usually only get into one of these. It’s a fun place to go. I don’t think he’s a crook at all but I’d also think twice before buying a car from him. However if you need to get rid of a car and you price it right, he’s pretty no muss no fuss. Money will be wired and a Sikh in a tow truck will show up at your door.

Peter Kumar has been around a lot longer than Alex Manos from BHCC. He sells everything, and sells it fast. From dealing with him he neither has friends or needs them. But his descriptions are usually pretty accurate, but like any car you can't see, have someone do a PPI if you're worried.
Happened to be at the same auction once and all got on TV, that was fun.

I had one experience with him and it wasn't good - due diligence on my part and the sale didn't proceed due to a whole lot of stuff he didn't disclose.

Why do all his cars seem priced at the low or very low end?
