Hi Folks,

I have a US delivered 1971 911 T, built August 70. The car has what I thought was the standard Bilstein Jack, but on close inspection now, I note it says 'APAC' on the base (foot) of the jack. On the lever arm (that attaches to the car when jacking it up) there is a 'VW' sign stamped into the metal.

Question is, was the APAC / Bilstein jack interchangeable at the dealer when these cars were sold new in 1970, or do I have the incorrect jack for my Porsche?

I'm not losing a lot of sleep on this, but wondered if this was intact an interchangeable part, as opposed to the wrong jack. Aside from the APAC on the foot, it appears basically indistinguishable from the Bilstein equivalent.

Lastly, am I correct in believing that there was not a stowage point at the front of the truck for these 70 built cars, but that the stowage point (that have the rubber straps attached) was not doe until ~74.

Best,

Adam
