    300 027 at Earls Court 1964

    One-Two,
car number 300 027 was the car shown at Earls Court in 1964. There is a very good history of this car as part of the article in "Motor Klassic" after it's Ruf restoration. Mr. Ranta the first owner bought it from the display floor but it had to be removed from the country and re entered with changed paperwork for it to be able to be sold. This is his photo of it coming back to England.

For photo of the exhaust, refer to the Porsche Drivers Manual Jan 1965 and Nov 1965 for photos.

Of visit the story of Muffler reproductions being done by Kent (tinmantech) for Dave DiMaria for a car he was restoring: http://allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=12325

Hi Bob, many thanks for that. I had heard the story about 300027 coming into the UK, going back out and coming back in again - it was tax- and/or duty-related as I remember it? Very strange. Do we think - as the first post in this thread suggests - that 13325 came to the UK in 1964? And does anyone have any info on the London Motor Show in 1965? Great link on early exhausts - very interesting and very timely! Best wishes and many thanks again, Robert

    One-two,
Haul's post #1 of this thread has the Auto car show history of 13 325
it includes "Earls Court Motor Show, London, 16.10-26.10.1963"

(For us on this side of the Atlantic Ocean that would be October 16-26 1963.)

Indeed, and many thanks. That's what I am querying. I hadn't heard it before. I thought the first time a 911 was seen in the UK was 300027 the following year, but I may have missed an appearance by 13325. Does anyone have any more evidence on the matter?

    Bob&Robert,

the exhibition protocols are listed by Tobias Aichele in his articles about the prototypes.
I am trying to doubleproof the entries and available pictures.

The autosalon brussel f.i. is nowhere credited to no car, but according to the pictures available, existing, but which car?
The images look too dark to be yellow, is it 13326 "Quickblau"?

    Concerning 1963 UK exhibition:
It is credited to 13325 and 13326 likewise, which seems impossible to me.
I found the exhibition floor plan and entry list of the 1963 "Earls Court Motor Show" in the UK and do wait for delivery.
Furtheron some "Daily Mails" from these days.

Concerning the 13326 1964 Berlin exhibition:
There is only one exhibition, which is eligable to have taken place. I am still investigating on this.

    Concerning the 13326 Sweden exhibition:
    No informations, no clue

    concerning the 13325 Turin exhibition:
    No informations, no clue.

Whatever info you do have, please throw in......

This is hardly exclusive, but some time back I found and scanned the December 1963 Road & Track which included coverage of the Frankfurt Auto Show where the 901 debuted with more information on the new 901.

Different cars? The 902 has a round fuel door, the TC 1 the more common one?
