Would also be interesting to find out more about the car that was allegedly withdrawn from auction in London in 1999. I am not aware of any more details
Der Spiegel, 11.03.1964 - https://www.spiegel.de/spiegel/print/d-46163442.html
"Stirling Moss, 34, British ex-racing driver, who no longer participates in car racing since a serious accident on Easter Monday 1962, but recently maintains a "Stirling Moss Car Racing Team" (short: Smart), may not send a car to this year's 24-hour race in Le Mans, France. The two-liter Porsche GT S 904 registered for Le Mans was removed from the starting lists because Moss had failed to give the drivers' names. Race director Moss suspected an act of revenge: The four-time vice-world champion had described in his book "Le Mans 1959" the French sporting event as a "lousy race"."

From Andre Loubser, mentioned in the first post
"Stirling had endorsed the Stirling Moss Paint-a-Car System, founded by a Canadian and his American partner.
The company sold respray and light body repair centres throughout the UK on a franchise basis."

The restored photo color is a different green than his GTO is. Could be the photo.

just for rethinking:
On the above pictures #36 the livery and the race number decal is very well visible. And this race number decal is exactly in the same position as shown in the pictures of the rolled over car #7. Front bonnet, middle position, towards front, side decal starting at the A pillar.
If you compare now these decals with the later ones from Silverstone, Nurburgring and the Canadian race they are clearly different.

@all
as announced in the previous thread entry, I did a complete re-write of the "904-025 borneo green", as some more infos showed up and I could get in contact with quite a lot of previous owner. also Robert Barrie puzzled me with some questions, and with the future release of the 1:18 CMC model of the 904, also the borneo green, I think there is a need of clearifying things.
I have some things still in the pipeline, but the rough draft is in the right direction....readable now
from the beginning #1 & #2 of this thread
enjoy and best regards from bavaria
