    Jurgen Barth's book on 904

According to that book did Peter Hoffman of Classic Parts own 025 more recently. I guess he could (..) tell you more about it, he is so dialed into Carrera's that he must have figured out the stories?

    Info about 088:
    FullSizeRender(9).jpg

    So is the summary?

the remains / what ever was left of the initial 025 got into the garage
what didn't go into the garage (engine, transmission, VIN?, etc) got swapped in(to) 088
the papers of 088 went to sleep till it was used for a donor car?

BTW Armin Hardy had his fingers in both cars. If he had had them same time he could have reversed things
BTW what is now considered the "real" 025? The one w/ swapped body parts or the one build from the remains?

    Richard,

the truth is in the eye of the one watching.....

    025 or 025-1....
both raced, 025 flipped over and went undercover.
25-1 went back to UK, raced and went trough all the hands.

I do wait what you will report from your friend....

    btw

    Sithot was correct:
"Looks like a Renault color. Sometimes substituted for Moto Guzzi Legano Verde."

Renault was using the color “borneo green” for their MY 60/63, as seen here on the Renault Caravelle. It was a sports car manufactured and marketed for the model years 1958-1968 in a single generation — as a rear-engine, rear drive open two/four-seater designed by Pietro Frua of Carrozzeria Ghia, using the floorpan and engine of the Renault Dauphine. Outside of North America and Britain it was, until 1962, marketed under the nameplate Renault Floride.

Maybe the S.M.A.R.T got the inspiration for the trademark team color from over here….
