Fresh air vent flap cable attachment

Could anyone tell me/post a picture of the fresh air flap cable attachment. As in how is the cable held against the body to allow the outer part to be held in place? Picture of mine attached, there was some sort of horrible homemade aluminium bracket pop riveted in place which simply bent as the flap got stuck. My car is wooden dash '65 not sure if it's the same on later cars.

    here`s some fotos.early vs later.
on early cars the flap is also a bit different .with a very fragile loop to attach the cable
does your car have a nylon tube or already the bowden cable?

have seen early cars that had the incircled bracket also riveted to the body

btw how early is your car?

Thanks @moito very helpful pictures, my car is 300882 - so very early RHD the bracket on it was definitely "homebrew" I have screwed the holder directly to the body for the moment and lubricated the bowden cable , hinges on the flap and cleaned up the flap itself - seems to work! I will introduce the car to the forum properly at some point soon.

It looks like the bracket has some triangulation to it its not just a flat tab like mine was.
