    Regarding Vasek Polak . . .

    . . . dealership frames . . .

Polak originally worked for von Neuman until opening his own franchise ~'59. But unlike CM, it appears VP never sold Volkswagens alongside Porsche . . . his first store was Porsche-exclusive. Also, from looking at the Samba's VW dealer list, VP doesn't appear, like, at all . . .
    https://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives...ealers_ca2.php

In other words, I would not expect to see VW branding on any VP frame issued before '73

    Also, here's another post about VP --- w/dates + locations . . .
    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...-Frames/page18

From what I've seen, earliest frames were prolly bright flash-chrome w/black wash in the letter-boxes, name + city + Porsche crest --- although I've seen a few with white letters in red letter-boxes that look really nice --- mid-'60s, maybe? . . . but definitely pre-'70

Anyway, starting ~'70, Audi shows up on these frames, but then disappears at some point . . . not sure when

Keep in mind that VP was in business a LONG time, so there are lots of frames out there to choose from --- different styles + materials, some genuine + some not . . . so look at some of the ones shown on this site --- especially those on OG cars . . . before you buy

Slightly off topic - my 8/71 911T was said to have been Los Angeles/Tourist Delivery, dealer code UAT. The delivery dealer stamp on the warranty booklet says "Volkswagen Pacific, Inc., Culver City, CA 90230" dated 04/10/71 (or Oct. 4, 1971 in American dates).

I'm assuming that VW Pacific is not another name for CM.

I've got a VP HB Audi frame in nice patina-ed condition I might sell. Looks pretty similar to this. PM me if you are interested.

Among the earliest versions of the VP frame are the red-on-whites. Only seen a handful of these --- which, from their top rockers, would date back to VP's original location in Manhattan Beach . . . = produced/issued before '67?

Anyway, IMO --- this version would prolly be more appropriate as a 356 bit . . .
