Strange paint code on my '68 912

I've recently purchased a '68 912. From what I can decipher, the door jam plate specifies a color code of 16158-L. Can anyone tell me what color that is? I've done some research and I'm pretty sure the "L" stands for Lesanol paint, but I can't find anything else. Thanks for your help.

    i think it is 16153 not "8"

which is a 1968 color of champagne yellow

I thought under the chipped paint...it looked like sand biege...but it is most likely the champagne yellow.
which is a good color for an older pre-1970 car.

That's a big win. We're just finishing a restoration of a '69 912 in Champagne Yellow and it's beautiful. It gets a LOT of attention in the shop.

I agree that it is most likely 16153 Lesonal champagne yellow
Lesonal is now a division of AkzoNobel

Yes. Lesonal is the "under" brand of Sikkens.
