    Thanks, guys. Going to see if I can find a working one first. Been burned on a couple bad units in the last year. Will keep both in mind!

    A Frankenstein with later-series knobs, faceplate, and push buttons, perhaps? Makes me shudder.

    John, what's the production date of the car for which you're seeking a radio? Is a W-series listed on the Kardex or on accompanying documentation?

    It's a NOV '65 build so W-series is what I need. Car still has the original W-series manuals.
