Okay, I have to put this info out there even though I’m going to get doubters. I sold this very similar bag on the bird earlier this year. If you can find my post, I clearly marked it as a 356 bag. Even though it looks the same inside and out, this bag I have listed has a different type vinyl that is clearly thicker and has a different feel to it. It almost feels like custom/aftermarket.

Thanks for this one. Again, as a mono-color bag it is IMHO, yes, a 356 bag. HOWEVER (I think we have a two-tone one of these (same material tabs, claps with rivets) on the thread below. The two-tone version of this bag (maybe it was yours too?!) is unusual. Lacking few examples, but in two-tone, it would probably a 901 bag but so rare, hard to say ! See post 189 in below thread.

    This is it

    Thanks.

Post #188 looks identical to my bag from the outside. I didn’t know some of the 356 bags also had the very thick shiny vinyl. I thought it was just the tabs, rivets & clasp. The thick vinyl is very unique to say the least.

Hi (what is your first name BTW, is it Anthony?) Again..YES...the difference for early 911 (901 and about the first one thousand 911s) is the two tone. As for the THICK vinyl, Yours truly has had three or four 356 (single color) bags with THICK vinyl. We had one in a dark brown..cool ! BTW..there is no such thing as "very unique." Why?, because unique means just that, one of a kind. Thank you for your input..you FIND a lot of tools, How do you do that? Thanks.

Hello Allen. Yes, my name is Anthony. Thanks for education on SWB tool bags/kits. As to your question regarding where I “find” all these tools, I’ve purchased over 15 tool kits in the last two years. I pick out only the most minty ones and sell the rest sometimes at cost or at a loss. I purchased the 356 tool kit just to grab a very minty 9X10 wrench. Every other tool I sold including the bag. I’ve recently put together two SWB tool kits, one for my 66 and one for my 68. Both cars came with tool kits but the tools were not minty.

PS Anthony, a 356 kits does not have an 9 x 10 open end wrench; must have been a typo?
PPS Anthony IF you find a JORG 1661 with a "circle 7" on the tip, as per the attached image, I will pay you BIG BUCK$ for it ! Thanks!

Okay, I’ll keep an eye out for one. Correction 8X9 on the wrench. By the way the bag just sold as a 356 bag. Thanks to you.
