Thread: Kardex translation

    Kardex translation

I have a query on my Kardex. It shows option 9146 LSD typed as Differential. It then repeats this on the bottom in hand-written form with an additional comment I can't translate - any German speakers/Kardex translators out there??? Picture below....H-Liste Nr 370??? perhaps....? Maybe the part number/ratio?

    Any help gratefully received.

Thanks - if anyone knows why M.list Nr (?) 370 was added - that is the question.....it has a Neubeurgring gearbox type 901/79 which is one of 8 so that might be a clue...

I don't have all my data with me today, but agree that "M-Liste maybe abbreviation for Motorsport-Liste i.e. Motorsport parts list", and believe that the 370 is a serial #. Now the serial # may be just a list of orders, or may be traceable to the transmission.

Check your transmission housing for 370 stamping somewhere. Could easily have been a long gone grease pencil application too, but I agree on the past few posts on what the handwriting on Kardex could mean.

BTW, RHD 69S is a rare beast.

RHD production numbers aren't formally documented. But there were not that many in early years.

HughH on this forum has done some research. If I recall, he was aware of 75 or so across 912, T, E, S. Maybe a baker's dozen S cars in RHD for 69, out of ~1500 cars.
I can't find all my back and forth with Hugh on this but maybe he'll chime in.
