Frazer Nash archives do exist - http://frazernasharchives.co.uk/, however there is literally no point sending your enquiry as they are not really manned and a manual conversation method is always preferred. Luckily I also own a 1935 Frazer Nash TT, awaiting some information on my own RHD car 300882 and will enquire about Earls Court at the same time.

Nice picture Steve. Anything in your archive on the 1965 Motor Show? Would be great to see if so!

Many thanks Steve - me too. The info seems strangely elusive!

    Hi Robert,

I've looked too, but I can't find anything for 1965. I found a Pathé News clip for the 1966 motor show (in colour!) The 911 is white with black interior.

Earls Court and other shows in 1964

Someone posted this (Dec 6, 2019) - but i didn't save the source of the info - in reference to the Type change from "901" to "911 in October/November 10, 1964.
As a side note there had been 82 cars assembled prior to Nov 10 but this tally only talks to 13 of those cars having been allocated to customers/other departments and the show cars.

    300001
    19.10.1964 werkseigen/Versuch
    300002
    19.10.1964 werkseigen/Versuch
    300003
    19.10.1964 werkseigen/Ferry Porsche
    300005
    20.10.1964 Verkauf im Hause, Presseabteilung
Am 31.3.1965 an Fa. K. Wallrabenstein
    300006
    19.10.1964 werkseigen/Tomala
    300007
19.10.1964 Abnahmebescheid, also Annahme von dem
Kunden, bezieht sich auf 23.11.1964; ging nach Porsche Salzburg
    300009
    19.10.1964 werkseigen/Lenz
    300010
    19.10.1964 werkseigen/Klink
    300012
27.10.1964 USA nach P.C. Pacific Burlingame, für eine
    Ausstellung
    300014
28.9.1964 ging nach Sonauto für eine Ausstellung
    300016
28.9.1964 ging nach Sonauto für eine Ausstellung
    300022
19.10.1964 ging nach Japan für eine Ausstellung
    300027
    19.10.1964 Abnahmebescheid 10.11.1964, nach AFN
    England für eine Ausstellung

    Google translation is:

The variant four was preferred by Raether and proposed as an urgent solution, since the delivery of the vehicles should have no more delay. When the message came from Peugeot, works such as Printing of the brochures interrupted, as well as the delivery of the vehicles. When exactly this information came is not documented. It must have been between 13. and 20.10.1964. Rather likely that it was done immediately after the 13.10.1964. The delivery of the car was deferred until 9.11.1964 at the latest. This is confirmed by the Kardex cards of the first 911, which almost all begin with the delivery date 11.11.1964. This concerns the delivery from the factory, not the acceptance of the wagon by the customer from the respective dealer.

The following vehicles were delivered by the factory before the deadline 10.11.1964:

    300001 19/10/1964 werkseigen / trial
    300002 19/10/1964 werkseigen / trial
    300003 19.10.1964 factory / Ferry Porsche
300005 20.10.1964 Sale in the house, press department
On 31.3.1965 to Fa. K. Wallrabenstein
    300006 19/10/1964 werkseigen / Tomala
300007 19.10.1964 Acceptance report, thus acceptance of the
Customers, refers to 23.11.1964; went to Porsche Salzburg
    300009 19.10.1964 factory / Lenz
    300010 19/10/1964 werkseigen / Klink
300012 27.10.1964 USA after P.C. Pacific Burlingame, for one
    exhibition
300014 28.9.1964 went to Sonauto for an exhibition
300016 28.9.1964 went to Sonauto for an exhibition
300022 19.10.1964 went to Japan for an exhibition
    300027 19.10.1964 Acceptance report 10.11.1964, AFN
    England for an exhibition

Thx Bob, never read this before, very very detailed info.

It doesnt come from Aichele‘s book but could be coming from „Porsche 356 / Made by Reutter - Frank Jung, a book i dont have. Since 356 production was going on while the 901 was starting, he might describe it. Jung himself is related to the Reutter family and also, now Head of Porsche Archive.
