I'm looking for leads on vintage Mercedes forums - similar to our 911 Registry? I'm considering a 1959 MB 220S coupe and trying to research the early cars.
    Thank you.

I own a W111 MB (69 280SE coupe) and have never found anything in terms of forums that hold a candle to the support and the community of the early Porsche world. If you find any resources, please do share the pertinent links!

I'm sure you've already scoped MBCA, BenzWorld, the aforementioned mbworld, etc., etc... But Keith is right, aside from the SL Registry there are no real dedicated enthusiast site like this one for vintage Mercs.

Which is a shame, but part of the reason they're aren't is the target audience. Aside from W113 owners there really isn't one.

Indeed, there is such a site. Here is an active, fact filled club page: mbzponton.org If will help you with virtually everything you need to know for mattters "ponton." As we know, cars after 1960 were no longer considered pontons.
