just an ordinary M5 or M6 bolt and it's not too difficult to cut the slot with a dremel or file

While I was digging, gtBen posted the photos above, so we don't need mine which show an original next to my home made example. Here are the specs. Start with an m6 x 20mm, nominal 10mm head bolt (m5 is too small). Notch width is 6.6 mm and must run parallel to the flats of the resulting "ears" which will keep the bolt from turning when applying the nut; notch depth is 1.8mm. Remaining bottom thickness is 2.1mm. These dimensions will allow the bolt so slide snugly on the track. It takes about 10 minutes to make one with a file. If you have a milling machine with an end mill bit, it would take seconds from startup. When you finish you will have a notched bolt that is like the original in every way. Yes, a Dremel would work but the slightest slip will quickly ruin the job. Slow and steady filing and measuring will give you a fine result.
