Help with Frankfurt Radio for 72 911T

I bought a Frankfurt radio on the ESR site some years ago to replace the radio/cassette deck "update" that had been installed by the PO. Pictures show front, mfr label and rear of the unit.

At the time, I was too naive to request clips or necessary wiring for the Frankfurt, and now i'm ready to install the unit. Can I get guidance on proper items needed for install, plus recommendations for necessary components needed to play iPhone through the system. Further, I removed PO's door speakers when I had the interior restored, so I prefer to use Bluetooth speakers instead.

    Thanks in advance.Name: Frankfurt side.jpg

I'm sure someone will jump in with the appropriate mounting hardware soon. In the meantime, this will help with your bluetooth. See post # 17.

I would start from scratch. Sell that radio that has never been anywhere near a Porsche, especially one in the US. If you want to use that European band radio in your 911, you will need the proper faceplate, clips for mounting and the rear support bracket. The radio has value to someone in Europe or one that is restoring a ROW car in the US. You should look for a Frankfurt US monaural radio with all the proper Porsche mounting parts, IMHO.

    Regards

    Jim

Yeah, I'm going to need all that as well. The only part I have in my car now is the pinch-clip support that holds the back of the radio in place. I'd be looking now as well if I didn't still have plenty of more important things to spend money on.

Thanks for that, Mike. Too bad I already bought a speaker for my car, as I wanted to have that handled before I put the dash pad in.

Thanks to all for your input. Terrific info!

Now, does anyone need a European band radio?
