    73 mfi targa doors

Question? I have a mfi 73 targa and during tear down of the doors I noticed the drivers does NOT have the internal brace but the passenger door does?both are original to the car . Which is correct ? Thanks Casey

I believe the internal brace appeared in cars manufactured after 1/1/73. If your car was manufactured a little before or a little after 1/1/73, it might have been assembled with one braced door and one without...as they always used up what they had on hand as they switched to a newer design.

Or...one has been replaced. How well does the paint match?

If you are certain that both doors are original to the car, why would you change?
