Thread: Where was there undercoat back in '65?

Where was there undercoat back in '65?

For my polo red '65/'66 912. Was there undercoat on the insides of the rear bumpers? Mine have a thin, smooth layer of black stuff over the polo red paint that's too smooth and thin to be called regular undercoat. It may be after-market? Of all the removable body panels, which did not have undercoat? I'm pretty sure the front bumper had none. The front fenders had it, and I'm pretty sure the rear license plate panel had none. I'm just not sure on the rear bumpers. I like things to be factory original.

No undercoating on inside of front and rear bumpers and rear panel. They are body color. If you want to get detailed on what the factory did, on your year car the nuts holding the decos are brushed body color and the bolts holding the bumpers brushed black. All done rather sloppily.
