    And I thought early 911s were just hard to Shift

    So it was really hard to shift, but I was getting the hang of it with about 100 miles since I brought it back to life. I think the shift coupler bushing was out of spec and out of the coupler for that matter. I found micro bits all over the rubber sleeve. Guessing shifting will be easier now.

    after, and no press needed, vice and sockets worked fine.
