Thread: Who best to Authenticate an M-471 RS light weight seat ?

  1. #21
Real 471 lightweight photographed April 2004. Could have been taken home for about $125,000 if memory serves me. You could have bought a nice original standard car for $70,000+ money.

Are you certain these are Scheel Sliders ? .... would it Not be sensible to assume Recaro seats would have Recaro sliders ?

    Sorry again that’s a repop- 100% certain
There is another question that we could raise at this occasion.
Is the seat of the a homologation RS the same as from a RS lightweight production car?

I agree with Uli. Initial impression is positive. The fabric patina and general condition looks right but several details are not. I am fairly certain this is one of Bernd Beckers seats from the 80's. I bought several from him and they were excellent, much stronger than the originals. He also built the fixed back passenger seat in the RSH in post #26.

I think I can tell them apart - In another location I should have about another 10 to 15 pairs of the ones that are under your seat
