'. . . This 1972 Porsche 911S coupe was manufactured in February 1972 and resided in Italy before being imported to the US by the seller in 2020. It is finished in Aubergine over a beige interior and is powered by a numbers-matching fuel-injected 2.4L flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The car was refurbished in Italy during previous ownership in 2014, and equipment includes 15″ Fuchs wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Koni dampers, a factory right quarter panel-mounted oil filler, and a Becker Europa radio. This 911S coupe is now offered in California with an Italian Porsche Certificate of Origin, a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, an Italian owner’s manual, refurbishment records and photos, import documents, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
Previously white, the body was stripped and refinished in its factory Aubergine by Carrozzeria San Lazzaro in Modena, Italy, in 2014. 15″ Fuchs wheels are wrapped in 185/70 Pirelli P6000 tires. Four-wheel disc brakes were standard equipment, and this example was factory-equipped with optional Koni dampers.
The interior is trimmed in beige leatherette with Pepita inserts and was refurbished by Ferraresi Enrico AutoTappezzeria of Ferrara, Italy, in 2014. Equipment includes beige and black door panels, brown carpets, retractable three-point front shoulder belts, leather rear cargo straps, and a Becker Europa four-band radio.
Factory VDO instrumentation consists of an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 250-km/h speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 2k kilometers, approximately 1k of which were added by the seller since 2019. True mileage is unknown.
The 2.4-liter Type 911/53 flat-six features mechanical fuel injection and was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 158 lb-ft of torque. The engine was removed and overhauled by Rennsport Classic & Racing of Reggio Emilia, Italy in 2014. Service in September 2020 included an oil and filter change as well as an inspection for the Porsche Classic Technical Certificate.
