    Help with a 1969 A/C car

I have a 1969 911S with factory A/C. After having the AC installed at the tail end of the restoration I noticed the new (thicker) deck lid condenser is hitting the rear, passenger side, air box. I have not been able to find an original (thinner) condenser to replace it with. Does anyone know of a stock dimension reproduction?

How thick is the one you have now? I'll measure mine tomorrow.

Thought there was an indentation in that spot on original air box cover for that reason?

I have ac that's not factory, but installed in period. It's just under 1" thick or just over 2cm. The entry and exit hoses are on the same end. You have to watch out for where you place the coil, ask me how I know...

The original rear condenser on my '72 factory A/C is about 25mm (1") thick at the most. Some spots measure 25mm, some as little as 23mm.

If yours is not more than that, I'd look to see if the curvature of the condenser is incorrect. It should fit pretty tight against the underside of the deckled all the way across. I can't imagine much chance that the engine is sitting too high in the chassis.
