    Great picture, thanks for sharing. Really makes the technique they used clear. I am going to see if I can cobble something together to duplicate the line

    on one seat i took apart a long time ago there was a piece of masking tape
    not to stick something together but to create a clean line of no adhesives.
    maybe pressure sensitive double side tape would do it.

    I’ve disassembled one set of comfort seats and the passenger seat had never been apart and provided some clear insights into the original seat construction. As others have said the horsehair/foam stops 4-5 inches down an then it is just burlap with no additional padding on the remaining section of seat back.

    would i be wrong to think that it should be less pronounced?
    great result non the less....

    Bob, studying pictures of back when the cars were new the bulb is very pronounced.

    This picture was taken from the workshop manual;
    anecdotally, most of the picture representations are of a 1968 model year...
    I agree your "bolstering" looks very good...
