Thread: The Bob Joyce thread!: Restoration of a 1968 911 L Targa

  1. #281
Ok, thanks Bob. Your pic confirmed what I need to do. I purchased the soft top from Autos Intl and they had the 2 bolster pieces. They seem to be nicknamed the boomerang pieces. I working with some SWT owners to see how the targa pad needs to be modified from fixed window version to SWT. I'll reach out to Targa Dan, also.

I believe the paint on the outside would be on 1969 and later Targa because of the vent on the cover, that is painted black in those areas
I can't find a picture of mine when disassembled, but I saved pictures of cars that appeared to be original paint that were disassembled and outside of the rollbar was painted body color.

That makes sense Bob. I can see there are no vents on yours.
