No. 1 and No. 2 are far from being the same weave. Just for starters, compare the predominant colors, i.e., white for No. 1 and blue for No. 2. Very pretty inserts, but not standard issues. With discussions such as this we must always be aware that for an additional charge, almost anything one desired would be installed by the factory.

I agree, I really like it as well.

This pattern looks a lot like a set I have among the parts.

What is the distance from arrowhead to arrowhead?

    Thanks

Here's the distance between red lines. My car spent it's entire life in the Richmond/Williamsburg VA area. My question is still: How can this particular seat pattern material show up on Porsche seats that are so far away from each other if it's not factory?

Looks like the weave pattern is shifted.

the pattern shift is due to the goods being layed out by the trimmer when sewing the seats.
pulling a sherlock holms.... this would lead one to surmise that a "private" upholsterer did this and not a factory worker
The reason being that the factory worker would pull the goods for layout in the same direction....

I just find it hard to believe that 2 different upholsterers thousands of miles apart would happen to use the exact same material for 911 seat inserts. Coincidence? Possible, but the odds are long.
