    Well, still for me not solved...
    the fabric is not pepita, in none ever definitions.....so, still: how comes, two cars having the same fabric, being not pepita?

    That fabric is not pepita/houndstooth.
    If it would be „factory“ and since not being „pepita/houndstooth“, its Kardex would specify it accordenly, with a dedicated description title.

    Because, if that description title would be „pepita/houndstooth“, then how would indicate the Kardex any „real“ pepita/houndstooth fabric, used througout the years in early seats ?

    My guess its period correct upholstery done by a private upholsterer, fabric was back then either widely available or, all cars done by same work source.

    Sorry, thats Pepita/Hounstooth saying, yours are not.They are a différent cloth, should be specified if factory.

    i have sold the seats but kept the covers...next time i stumble across them i will take some fotos of how they are fabricated..so the seat police can deliver a judgment..

    All I can say is that my 70T came new with the seats that the vehicle description page describes as inlay Pepita/houndstooth. Also shown in pictures in the post.
    Some folks seem to think they know more. ??????

    This should be Pepita 13, a Black/White check pattern. My observation is that the original Pepita 13 was replaced by your current fabric.
