'. . . one of 1,430 911S coupes produced for the model year and was sold new at Brumos Porsche of Jacksonville, Florida in February 1971. Refurbished under previous ownership, the car was sold in an October 2019 BaT auction and was acquired by the selling dealer in June 2022. During the refurbishment the exterior was refinished in silver, the interior was redone in black, and the 2.2-liter flat-six with mechanical fuel injection and the five-speed manual transaxle were rebuilt. The engine was rebuilt again in early 2021, around which time the fuel system, suspension, and brakes were overhauled. Equipment includes updated air conditioning, a Blaupunkt radio, refinished 15″ Fuchs wheels, and four-wheel disc brakes. This 911S is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, photos and receipts from the refurbishment, recent service records, removed parts, tools, a jack, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a clean Arizona title.
. . . exterior was stripped before receiving a repaint replicating its factory-delivered Silver Metallic (80). XPEL paint-protection film was applied to the leading surfaces of the nose and rear quarter panels in 2019. Reconditioned trim including rocker-panel strips and gold lettering was installed during reassembly. Rust repair was performed on the nose panel and the front suspension pan.
Refinished 15” Fuchs wheels are wrapped in 185/70 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel ventilated discs. Koni shocks are fitted at each corner. In late 2020 the shocks and struts were replaced and the brakes were serviced.
Sport seats have been reupholstered and are mounted with a set of reconditioned tracks and hinges. Kuehl air-conditioning components are designed to work with the factory switches and under-dash vents. A Blaupunkt AM/FM radio is positioned in the dashboard.
. . . five-digit odometer shows 69k miles, and true mileage is unknown.
. . . mechanically injected 2.2L flat-six is paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Rothsport Racing of Sherwood, Oregon rebuilt the engine and transaxle for approximately $35k in 2017. The engine was rebuilt again in early 2021 by LA Workshop 5001 of Los Angeles, California at a cost of more than $80k . . .
The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists the production date, original colors, powertrain numbers, and factory-delivered options. More than four dozen pages of service records are shown in the gallery, as is manufacturer’s literature and a stamped service booklet that are included in the sale. The seller states that removed brake, suspension, and other parts will also accompany the vehicle . . .'
