dashboard/pad MY65-67 info on paint protection mats

    dear all,

recently I could „safe“ a very original and unharmed dashboard/pad, correct for MY65 - MY67. The board/pad was a bit dirty, but the vinyl did not have any scratches or cuts, nor did the loadspeaker area did have any torn parts. The underside of the dash had all the paint protection mats still attached , also the „click“ fasteners are still in place an complete.

I had a wash and rinse action done with warm water and mild soap, and it turmed out even nicer.

For documentary reason I have the paint protection mats measured, so if you have a resto at any time, you can use these as a template. maybe it has been documented before…so my apologies for double info, but I could not find any on this issue.

Please noticed, double layer fabric in the gauge area, single layer over glove box area, underside material of the speaker, rubberized coco?horse hair? and above gaze square line fabric, directly under the speaker holes.

    all measures in cm

    enjoy
    stay safe&healthy
    and best regards from
    bavaria

That beige material is the same as used on Roadster header board on top.
So, it is possibly available from Autos International.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
