Koni colour week 52 1968 adjustable

I have discovered that my car had Adjustable Konis fitted when new - part 901 341 079 10. It is a 1969 S. Where these standard fit or a factory option. They are due to be painted very shortly and I have seen that they perhaps should be red..is this the case? Any ideas please...

Standard issue on a 69S. Not red. Many posts about this. Chevy engine block orange is close, but early Konis we’re more of a red-orange. From top to bottom; Chevy orange, replacement I bought in the late 70's, Original "69 shock.
Like I said, darker orange on the '69 shock.

We had ours rebuilt on our 69S and this is the color that came back from one of the Koni Racing Services dealers. More like the Chevy orange.

Thanks all....I have learnt that it is RAL2002 paint code...not sure if that means much in the US but it does to us Europeans....

My 68 912 had the darker orange rear shocks, but the front inserts (out of the weather) were more orange. When I blasted my rear shocks to repaint I found the color changed from "more red to more orange" as I removed the weathered surface. YMMV.
