Unhappy More terrible news... RIP Nick Psyllos ...

Our friend Nick Psyllos (NickP) passed away today from quick onset pancreatic cancer....

Nick was a good friend and another wonderful guy in our community to pass WAY too soon ...

I have no words... Again I'm in shock...

Nick owned the Silver '73 911S that was in the latest Top Gun and still on display in the Peterson Auto Museum...

He also owned one of the most iconic S/T builds we've ever seen... The 2019 ESR calendar cover

However, what Nick was MOST proud of was his family...
Those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him knew he was the consummate family man ...

Our hearts goes out to Nick's wonderful family on this unbelievably sad day....

wow, this is absolutely shocking. so sorry to hear this. Nick seemed like a great guy, although i never met him in person. he had reached out to me after seeing my build thread on Rennlist and wanted to come by and check out the work i was doing on my car. i was too buy at the time and never tried to make other arrangements with him to come by. sorry i didnt make the time. life lesson in so many ways - we are not guranteed tomorrow/another chance. RIP.

Very sad news. Never met in person, but saw the car at the Peterson and heard nothing but good things.

Seems to be an unfortunate and increasing trend in “our” demographic.

    Utterly devastating news.

Nick was really and truly one of the GREAT ones. I lost count of how many times he referred to someone as "my friend" and it was a different person everytime. He had A LOT of friends, many in the Porsche community.

The 3,100 miles worth of windshield time with him to / from and during the Hill Country Rallye this year was a gift. Including when we ran out of gas on the tow home. We LAUGHED our butts off the entire time we were stuck on the side of the road.

He was super giddy (like a school kid) when he started his ST for the first time, post 3.5 engine build, at Rennsport. He had a BIG grin on his face while driving the car through the paddock to the R Gruppe display.

    RIP my friend.

    I’m devastated.

In the past few years Nick and I would chat frequently about cars but also work, our paths were parallel and I had contacts within his organization that he was closely aligned with. We shared strategies and stories of successes. And then we’d talk cars some more.

Spoke to Nick a week ago when he told me the news. He and I discussed my first cousin who is a well known GI oncologist in San Diego. He mentioned my cousin’s name had come up many times but his treatment was more aggressive than what my cousin would do. Mentioned after some chemo it might be a good fit. Nick was fighting. He had plans to be among the tiny percentage to beat his diagnosis. I told him my prayers were all about him coming out on top. And I’d see him in January. He was upbeat and filled with good vibes.

He was grateful to catch up with me and grateful for the referral.

A great man taken too soon. Devastating news.

Really sad to hear. Nick stopped by my house a few years ago to pickup some parts. We had a great conversation about 911ST and 911R details. As everyone confirmed, just a super great guy.

    God Bless his family.
