    110L Plastic Fuel Tank Question

Can anyone tell me if the plastic 110L fuel tank used on the Carrera RS 3.0 or Carrera RSR were designed to hold a full size spare or a collapsible? It looks like they could fit a full spare to me, but most pics I have found show a collapsible when they show any spare at all.

If they do fit a full spare, any thoughts on if a 7" rim with 185 series tire would fit?

In the spare parts he received with 9114609073, John Byrne had a centerlock 917 rim complete with a collapsible spare tire. Wish I had a photo.

Wow, those would be 15 x 12 correct? Okay so I know a 15 x 7 rim will work, now I just need to know if it will with the 25.4" diameter...

Photos of Jim Newton's Brunos car, with 110l tank and some serious meat lying on top, which suggests you can fit a full-size spare.

Exactly what I needed to know. Thanks. My only worry is that my car is a short hood and Jim's is a long hood.

Does anyone know if this plastic fuel tank has any internal baffling or a swirl pot on the bottom?

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
I dont think so,there is a copper gauze filter in the bottom at the feed terminal,my tank is full of race foam which helps reduce tank surge and i cant see inside it to confirm yes or no.Maybe contact one the repro tank suppliers and ask.

There is one in my car. No swirl pot built in. Mine runs mfi and I've never had an issue even at very low fuel. I think the shape of the bottom of the tank/entry and return position seems to avoid starvation issues. For a while my triumph gt6 ran on Lucas injection and I had to make a separate swirl pot to prevent starvation under any cornering/not full tank.
