    Guys
Getting engine components installed …want to verify 1-the ground strap to engine case and alternator
2- confirming all wires run thru the grey housing mounted to alternator 3- nuts attaching housing only 3 actually hold the cap edge the others are just a void in cap/housing ? Just leave other 3 studs from alternator housing blank ?Name: IMG_7327.jpeg

You are missing a braided ground strap

All the thru bolts of the alternator will have nuts installed, the braided ground strap goes on the alternator stud at about the 8:00 position (viewed looking at the engine from the rear) , and attaches to the engine case stud (it is usually a slightly longer stud) behind the alternator, and does NOT go thru the grey air deflector. You appear to have an air deflector for an internal regulator, not the correct external regulator air deflector.

The late air guide is ok to use in all applications. The braided ground wire was abandoned and replace with a heavy brown ground wire like u have. I would run it thru the opening in the back of the guide. The guide has 1/2 open and 1/2 closed mountings. Secure the alternator to the housing with the open spaces, then mount the air guide with the closed positions. It’s so much easier to use this guide. The only issue I’ve seen with this guide is the big/long metal vane likes to vibrate and break off about 1 1/2” from the end in long use.
