    Hazard vs. Fog light switch

Got two switches with the small indicator light rods. Unfortunately the numbers are worn of. Looking through the ESR threads they look like they could be either fog light switches or very early hazard switches. Cant seek to tell the difference. Is there any difference other than the assigned PET number. One pull out and no rotation. Also have one complete hazard switch with warning label and larger diameter red signal light. No rubber cover so probably pre '68. Saw a comment somewhere which said both types are one in the same. Is that correct? CVan I assume knob is the only difference?

A picture would help, but I’ve never seen anything but the normal hazard knob with the larger red disc (or plain white if the little red disc has fallen out) for at least 65-69. There are several knob/light rod combos for below the bumber fogs, above the bumper fogs, rear defroster with various colored tips on the small protruding light rod. 68-69 used all the same switches/knobs, just covered them with a rubber surround and emblem. I would suspect the part number is for the combo switch/knob and that the switches tehmselves are all the same 4 post on/off switch, otherwise they would likely be marked with a different manufacturers part number stamped or embossed on the plastic.

Moved to Technical. Good luck with your query.
