    stickers re use

Anyone has experience in re using vintage stickers? I had to replace my windshield but on the broken one there are some cool period stickers I would like to put on the new windshield. Anyone tried this before? Best, Nico

The brakes windshield?? If they are water transfer I doubt it. Glue ons yes. Slowly heat with a hair dryer and when warm, almost hot, carefully remove with a fresh razor blade. You must immediately apply to the new surface. It helps to have it also warm. I did this successfully when working for Bill Doyle on some pricey cars with no issues.

Be sure to take high resolution photographs of each sticker before attempting removal.

It might be easier to just have them reproduced. I’ve had several decals reproduced with good success.

I tought about reproducing them but I prefer to have the real period ones. Coming weekend I'll try the warming method and if that does't work I will have to duplicate them.

Probably obvious, but I suggest heating slowly from the back side of the glass.
