'. . . delivered to Bill Campbell Porsche Audi of Cantonment, Florida, and was acquired by the seller approximately 35 years ago. Work performed in the early 1990s included installing a fuel-injected 2.7-liter flat-six equipped with RS-spec pistons and cylinders, while a cosmetic refurbishment was carried out between 2015 and 2019 that included rust repairs, a bare-metal repaint in red, and an interior refresh in black leather. Shifting is via a five-speed manual transaxle equipped with a Quaife limited-slip differential, and additional equipment includes an Electromotive electronic ignition system, GTS Classic front sport seats, Hella fog lamps, SSI heat exchangers, and 15” Fuchs wheels. An oil change and a clutch adjustment were performed in preparation for the sale. This 911S is now offered with the removed engine case, seats, and other components as well as a tool kit, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.

Finished from the factory in Bahia Red (1313), the car was repainted in 2019 by Classic Porsche Restoration of Easton, Maryland, following rust repairs in the trunk, floors, door jambs, and rocker panels as well as replacement of the front bumper, passenger-side front fender, and aluminum rear center panel and decklid. The rear slam panel was also repaired to address previous accident damage, and the windshield and rear window were replaced. Exterior details include chrome “sugar scoop” headlight surrounds, Hella fog lamps and H4 headlights, and pop-out rear 3/4 windows. A scratch on the glass is shown up close in the gallery . . .

The 15” Fuchs wheels are said to have been refurbished by Weidman’s Wheels of Oroville, California, and are mounted with 185/70 Michelin XWX radial tires. The four-wheel disc brakes are reported to have undergone an overhaul under current ownership, and the car rides on Koni shocks.

. . . cabin has been fitted with reproduction sport seats from GTS Classics that are trimmed in black leather and complemented by a color-coordinated dash, door panels, and fold-down rear seats. Noico sound-deadening material and gray carpets line the floors, and an internal choke cable has been installed. The removed bucket seats will accompany the vehicle.

A leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer has reportedly rolled over and shows 9k miles. The seller estimates that 100k miles have been added during their ownership, and total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 2.7-liter flat-six was installed in the early 1990s and features a 7R magnesium case that has been fitted with Mahle RS-spec pistons and cylinders. Bosch mechanical fuel injection, an Electromotive XDi electronic ignition system, and SSI heat exchangers have also been installed. The seller reports that the wiring harness has been replaced and a blade-style fusebox installed. The removed engine case as well as the induction and ignition components are included in the sale. An oil change was carried out in preparation for the sale, and the seller notes an oil leak. A dyno run from 2001 returned results of 211 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle that is said to have been fitted with a Quaife limited-slip differential in the early 1990s. Additional underbody images are provided in the gallery. The clutch was adjusted in preparation for the sale
