The only difference is the additional hot air tube on the left side for the early MFI thermostat.

So if you wanted to use on a carb'd early 911, you can take an appropriate sized freeze plug and plug the early MFI thermostat provision if you wanted. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

    Spoken to various potential buyers.

Let's get these sold. They are in boxes, ready to ship.

The MFI motor was used in rest of world 2.7 Carrera right through to the middle of the 70s — into the G series. Not the case for USA/NA markets.

The left side exchanger for sale is not the same design as in my 73 RS, a late calendar 72 built example with 911/83. Mine had left side heater exchanger that’s described as “with cap”; suspect the term “cap” is a quaint translation for what’s shown in post #8?

“Early” is evidently before my car built , but when exactly was the change introduced — from memory my model year 72 kundendienst-information booklet introduced the “regulator” contraption so assume it arrived with that around the introduction of model 72?

My understanding is without the heater box; those exchangers are for 69,70, and 71 cars with MFI that have the nipple for the warm air hose.
