I deliberately didn’t give a link as things get updated and might even vary by region but perhaps the local FiA ASN ( affiliate) has information that’s relevant and gets refreshed. I worked across all circa 250 of the global ASN’s in a different role but I know crash safety is a huge focus of the FiA. If you are in USA ACCUS FIA might have information they publish? I suspect their focus would be on motorsport but if now doing bespoke seatbelt and mounting work even for a classic car the current regulations might inform as there are many factors beyond buying a plate said to be approved off eBay. How, where mounted as well as the belt itself and the angles with respect to the occupants etc — many things to get right.

This is a photo of me sharing a table with the former FiA President ( and ex CEO Ferrari / Principal of Scuderia Ferrari) and his then deputy who led governance of world motorsport when I was helping run a FiA leadership meeting in my “expert advisor” role.

Probably ok to post here as think photo was in the public domain when published in an FIA newsletter.

As said I’m not a specialist on crash safety myself but one of the sessions I recall that week’s particular event was a briefing from the FiA’s head of safety. He and I were then invited to make keynote speeches at the FiA’s Annual General Assembly, Grand Gala and Prize Giving end of year event so we spent more time together. I believe FiA are still very focused on the area of safety and do have competent experts and facilities. That’s why I suggested, rather than just having a go, it might be worth looking at the current FiA information in the region alongside taking relevant expert advice on an important safety critical matter.
