    Wheel well protection

Greetings all. I am redoing my '69 and it has been painted but before I have it cut and buffed I'd like to address the underside of the car. The picture shows the current state and I'm wondering if I should apply some form of protection so that errant rocks and such don't damage the fenders and body from below. I appreciate any thoughts and suggestions, but please know that I'm not worried about originality nearly as much as I am creating a car that I can enjoy driving (again) for a very long time.

If you don't care about originality, a bedliner material like "Raptor" would be useful.
It can be black, gray or even "paint matched" closely the color of your car if that's what you want.
It's DIY and a 2 part epoxy so very tough and durable.

patrick motorsports used to sell a fender liner kit for SC/RS cars (you can see the parts in the gallery for one of their builds: https://patrickmotorsports.com/blogs...rsr-twin-turbo), but I don't see the kit on their website now. that was the approach I was thinking about taking to keep all the rocks and grit away from the painted surfaces & tail light housings, etc., but it might have to be a DIY solution now :-(
