    tires

    Thanks Rob,
Do you have email/web address of Moser Tire?

Excuse me but what does NLA stands for?
I like XWX's a lot but I need 2 sizes. It's not a good idea to have vintage tyres at just front and modern ones at rear. It should be vintage all-round.

    Cheers!

I have used the Pirelli P6000 on out 73 RS. The front tires are slightly smaller in diameter, but for general street use, I am very happy with them. If you are doing full boat concours competition, the oldtimer tires are about the only way to go,
unless you can piece together a bunch of used tires. I have seen this done, but you can't trust the old tires at any kind of speed, say over 40 mph. Since we drive our RS all over, and drove it six hours to the Milwaukee Parade last year, old tires were not an option for us.

    OEM tyre sizes

    Hi Jim,
My car also has P6000 all-round and I'm quite happy with them.....except they look modern.
I said earlier in this thread that NOS tyres shouldn't be used for driving, which is why I'm hoping Pirelli Germany will start to make CN36's in both sizes again.

    Roland,
I´ve send an email to Pirelli ages ago but they haven´t replied. Do you have the direct email address of the person responsible for vintage tyres in Pirelli Germany?

    Thanks in advance

If this is the Moser Tire in Indiana, I called them last week and the guy I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about. You mentioned a price in euros. Is there a Moser Tire in Europe that I should be talking to?

With the possibility of more sizes to come

Here is a web page that has Porsche's Recommendations for the best tyres for their cars http://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/page...-porsche-tyres

It even has an article about a modern tyre test done on classic Porsche tyres from a German magazine translated to English
