Just want you guys to know I'm following this, and thanks to all for the info I'm getting. Man, still don't know what I'll end up getting. Guess I'm still suffering from the shock of Yoko dropping the A008P.

Hi mwalker09. I am on the brink of buying some new 205/60-15 tires and was wondering how you like the Michelin Pilot XGTV4s. There doesn't seem to be many choices in this tire size for a high performance tires so I'm seriously looking at the Michelin's as my preferred choice.
Cheers

I'm running the P6000 in 195/65 size on my 71 with 6 inch wheels. Very happy with them.
Thanks cegerer but aren't the p6000 classified as a Touring tire rather than a high performance tire? I was looking at Pirelli, specifically the soon to be rereleased P7s. However, it seems uncertain whether these and the new P6s will make it to the US. One source at tirerack told me Pirelli were not plannng to export them to the US which seems strange to me, especially after they were featured in a special booklet in the September edition of European Car, a magazine for the US market.
The P6000 is V-rated (149mph) and classified by Pirelli as a 'high performance' tire, although they also make 'ultra-high performance' tires. They are supposed to be excellent wet-weather tires. -- Curt
Thanks cegerer. I was looking at Pirellis, specifically the soon to be rereleased P6s and P7s. According to one source at tirerack they won't be available in the US which I find hard to believe since there was a large feature on them in the September edition of European Car, a magazine for the American market. Does anyone else have any information on this? Also, does anyone out there have any experience with the Michelins?
Cheers
I ended up with Yoko Avs 205/65/15 all the way around. I'm happy with the way they look and perform. The diameter is very close to original and compaired to a friends car you can't tell the difference.
Wider is better.
