    Jack,

Great pics! If I squint my eyes enough, I can almost kid myself into thinking that I was lifting my inside wheel at the top of Turn 4!!!

    Thanks for the post!

As a Gruppe I was impressed that everyone drove within their abilities. Everyone drove very well.

Thanks to all the guys that took turns as starter and to all the others that offered to help in other ways. Rob thank you for making it happen.

I am very grateful to all of you that helped bump start my car before each session. Starter relay goes in this week.

After Marco and I did T-8 flat out in 5th at 125mph a couple times we both agreed there simply is no where on the street you can do that.

It may be awhile before we plan another Big Willow track.
With all of the open track days at Big Willow maybe we can agree to attend one later in the year? Here is a link to track days I find helpful.

Jack was fast on street tires and a ducktail, while I had a wing and Victoracers. Jack with your wing and street tires we would be very close? My 1:31 to your 1:32. Then add your race tires and make me work for it!

Big Willow is a fast 2.5 mile track, a 1:31 is an average lap speed of 97mph!
You can go here to compare your lap times to lap speed.

Good pics Jack, I'd like to see more.
See you at the Dunkel weekend.
    Best regards,
    Mike

Mike, turn 8 was an absolute gas!

You know, after my ride with you I had a lot more faith in my Victoracers and really started pushing on 'em ... made my laps a whole lot faster and I took turn 8 nearly flat out a couple of times after that ... emphasis on nearly.

I haven't had that much fun on a school day since I was in college.

    THANKS to everyone

Yesterday was an awesome day. Thank you Rob for getting the ball rollin'. Thanks to Mike for the organization. It was nice seeing everyone, making new friends.

It was my first day there, I had a lot of fun. I wasn't there to set times, just learning to drive my car faster, in a controlled environment. I know MANY are out there with REALLY nice cars, and don't want to risk any damage. Come out to the next one, thats the place to be. Push your car at your pace, comfort level.

Paul K. took my car out with me passenger. Now I know what it can really do, at 60% of its limit?????????

    See everyone this weekend.

Big Thanks to Mike and Rob for making the 1st R-Gruppe Track Day a reality.
Thanks to all the fellow R-Gruppe members who gave enough numbers for us to have the place to ourselves, how casual, run whenever you feel like it and never find the track crowded.

Absolutely Great, my first visit to Willow Springs and I think I would have to say it's one of my all time faves.
Looking forwards to many more days there and finding the best way to maintain momentum at such high speeds.
7200 in 5th, that's as fast as I've ever driven my car.....
