    But my '73 T coupe is # 9113102669(!)

    Maybe they didn't count the 73 1/2 cars in that run??

    Hi Stacy,
    I saw your reply AFTER returning from Dunkels. Sorry I missed it (your message, that is).

    As for the '72MY production pics, you can see them here.

    Regards,

    73 Production

    Here are the production numbers from 1973 from Paternie's Red Book:

    1973 T Coupe 1,975
    1973 T Targa 1,541
    1973 T(US) Coupe 1,252
    1973 T(US) Targa 781
    1973.5 CIS T(US) Coupe 1,944
    1973.5 CIS T(US) Targa 1,302
    1973 E Coupe 1,366
    1973 E Targa 1,055
    1973 S Coupe 1,430
    1973 S Targa 925
    1973 RS Carrera 1,590

    Maybe more interesting is the total number of cars produced. There were only 2,199 more cars produced in 1973, but between the RS and the 73.5 T's, Porsche produced 4,836 cars.

    1972 = 12,962
    1973 = 15,161

    Randy, you'll notice that your car is number 2669, for the Ts there are over 10,000 made if you look closely at the serial number listings.

    How do you come up with that? 911=model, 3=1973, 1=T, and 0=coupe. That leaves 2669 as the build no.

    I'd still like to find a source that tells how many Coupes were made with Sunroofs.

    Francois,
    Based on the 4th digit of your VIN, you have an early production 73 model car. Production for a given model year typically begins the calendar year before. Usually September, but can be earlier.
