    Aluminum decklid question

Did all 1970 S's have aluminum deck lids and license panels? My 70 which I have owned for 27 yrs does not. I am the third owner and there is no evidence of accident damage to the rear, nor is it indicated in the previous owners workorders. By the way this was a Euro delivery car don't know if that makes any differance.

    Thanks
    Rudy

    deck

I have always been told it was an optional thing, so some did and some did not. That's what my .02 is worth.

Same here with my 70S. Steel. Although, I have AC. Could that have something to do with it? Maybe the extra weight of the condensing fins?
