Hey man, happy to help, and to have someone nearby who shares in the sickness!

After Tom took delivery of the car, we started going through it - I was amazed how original everything was. We couldn't find a lick of rust - and no modifications.

A shame about the PO guardrail encounter (I'm sure the story of how the Armco kissed both sides in the same incident is a great one). Fortunately, the wizards at Stoddard have been able to save all the original panels, without using filler. So it's as if nothing ever happened!

The only downside is, I'm going to have to spend big $ on mine to keep up with the neighbor's Porsche once it returns!

Wow! Car looks great. That is a cool color too.
Any chance that it will be back together by the end of april so that you can cruise to Daytona with Curt E and I?

    Cornpanzer,

Thanks for the offer... might be back from Stoddard by then but it would need a few mechanical issues addressed before a trip like that,... next year?

Sounds like it will make for a memorable trip!

Love that color. Almost bought the same in '79 on a '72 T, but the bank would not loan on a car that 'old'.

Glad we have one on the registry! Be looking forward to future updates.

Signal yellow is my favorite color. Followed by signal orange... I found signal green listed in the Peter Morgan book. Does anyone have an image... I could not find a signal red. Was it ever an option?

I know a little about the armco incident. The PO was so anal about the car being original he wouldn't fix it. I think he was a little on the "tight" side as well. He showed the car for at least 3 years that I know of in this condition!
It's a nice car otherwise and Tom got a pretty good deal imho.

Beautiful car and color. Yellow is a particularly great. I have heard excellent things about Stoddard and would consider using them too. I am curious (and in no way a critisism) that it has taken them about 3 months to get this far. Is that nornal turn around for them, or are they unusually backed up right now?

I think they are moving at "light speed"! It takes 3-6 months for me to get a motorcycle gas tank and two fenders painted and striped!

    Hal,

Stoddard originally told me it would take 4-5 months, and to that they are ahead of schedule. They were not busy at the first of the year, but they tell me they are now. The car was primed twice so far and last week they 'cut in' color on the back sides of some panels. They sanded again and are ready to go this week coming up. They said it would have been painted last Thursday but got backed up. I'm not complaining or hounding them.

    Thanks for the comments...
