Here's a short clip of my R Gruppe car putting the preasure on a 2003 996 twin turbo.

    This pass sucked.

    Tyson,

Glad you made the effort to make it up to the event with Scruffy. It was great meeting you, and yes we were all allowing Scruffy the debut it well deserved.

Thanks for the help the other day legthening the throttle linkage. The adjustment made a difference to the transition between the idle and main circuits. I'm taking it out for a little run later to see if it still pops on de-cel. The only remaining adjustment now is to lower the idle. For some reason, the car now idles at 1200 very consistantly when it's nice and warm.

    Stacy,

I am not as brave as Curt and Dave, who drove their cars to Rennsport from the Midwest. It would be fun to ship it somewhere 200 to 300 miles away from Southern CA and drive it from there. Any suggestions?

    No Show....

I like EL, missed my first Rgruppe in 5 years. By the pics and the kudos to Cris, et:al, it was a great time for those who attended. Speaking for myself, I know that CH really went to the wall with the prep and planning for this one. It was refreshing to see some new material ( cars) and some new faces in the shot taken by those attending. I look forward to Rgruppe VI

Glad to hear it Chris. Hey, feel free to swing by on Monday if you're passing by and I'll adjust the idle for you.

Brian, let's rent a transporter/trailer and bring the whole damn midwest to the west! I'm sure there'd be several takers!?!

Hey ya'll. I know it's been a while since I posted anything, so I figured I'd make a cameo on the "notable absences" page.

The last few months have been fairly hectic, and I had to forgo the Gruppe trip for the sake of my employment. I was there is spirit though, and I did manage to get the 914 out for a balls-to-the-wall run of my own that weekend ... although, Lord knows I would have rather been with the Gruppe.

Hope all are doing well - even you, Tabs - and I look forward to seeing some of you in the future.

PS: I am now taking donations to the "Buy Marco Insurance So He Can Drive His Porsche" fund.

You were missed Curtis, by more than a few people. I hope to see you at the Autofest, buddy. It was just not the same without you and Eric...

Most people don't have a Trust fund like I do..or a Mother and Daddy who will stop at nothing to see that I stay the he11 away from them....

Good for U to be back..Mr914... I look forward to pissing U off again!
