Thx Michael. I would have thought SoMa - Potreroris one part of town I am not very familiar with.

IT's a nice colore, a nice car and a nicely posed shot.

Elfer, great photo of the show in Essen. Would have liked to see both those cars in person. Anybody know if they are factory cars?

Sithot, actually I already have the Certificate. It verifies the numbers and color in and out is correct, and the options read as follows:

    US Equipment
    Lockable Front Hood
    Rear Window Wiper
Blaupunkt Radio 'New York' (US band)
    Sunroof
(Sport Seats standard in '71 on the 'S')

Barbara Kurz verbally confirmed this before I purchased (I think others have done the same) and then I received the actual document a few weeks later.
This all matched up with what Weldon had told me about the car.
I will really be interested in what happens with the Glacier blue car. Any idea what part of the Country it will be going to?

    Regards,
    Tom

Guys, it's GOTTA BE TRUE...somebody in charge of early car color selection had to be a pool player! The next time you find yourselves near a pool table (not that I'd suggest any of you would ever be caught in such a place...) really look at the ball colors. Does the yellow on the 1 (solid) and 9 (striped) balls look familiar? Aubergine? Check out the 4 ball....and on it goes...

Egad! The most startlingly true revelation I've seen on any Porsche board. This belongs in the magazines or in Ludvigsen's book....

Now if I can just find out which pocket the silver ball went in to....

Silver is pretty much the mother of all Porsche colors. It's been said that paint adds so much weight that the early motorsport engineers left it off to be able to go faster, you know, adding lightness "for Sports Purposes"!

    Silver works!!

North of L.A. is the location I received from the fellow who e-mailed me yesterday telling that he had bought the car and already made arrangements for shipping. I'll know more tomorrow when I talk with Weldon about the Summit Point race weekend with Brian Redman.

Also, regarding the Glacier Blue car; I didn't get the impression that the new owner was going to do a "TKO Tom" restoration which is what I would do since I'm totally impatient and just love instant gratification.
That gets expensive. What say ye, Tom? Yea or Nay?

    P.S.
