And I shall concede that your very cool car has the sexiest rear end short of a centerfold.

Your car could be considered "Rubenesque" in stature. I wonder what Rubens might think were he around? Curves are a wonderful thing and on a black car they are absolutely "da bomb".

Here's a pic of my RS flares just after they were welded on. You can see the difference in the height of the lip contour at the top of the arch very well in this pic. The SC flares are almost constant width all the way around the arch.

    Flares

guys, thanks for all the responses. didn't know i'd strike such a chord of interest! i always thought that the views in my rearviews were the sexiest out there.

my reason for asking about the flares is my recent purchase of Tom McMahons' 70 911s. the car has webbers as well as sc flares.

    anyway, thanks again.

Constant radius or arc vs. decreasing radius (a hell of thing to find out on a track you are unfamiliar with, btw).

    Good picture.

Thanks. That was taken over two years ago, and I'm embarrassed to say that they are still in primer. I am finally going to take the car apart and get the paint done here pretty soon. What is ironic, though, is that after going to the trouble of getting the correct RS flare from Troutman, I have decided after tracking the car for two years to hammer the rears out into more of a custom "ST" flare. I just need another 1/4-3/8" clearance to fit my 11" wheels under them.

Projects evolve if you give them too much time.
