Believe me the Alpine is such a beauty in this yellow color, really lowride and wide. I really enjoyed the "chasing", watching in the visor this pure race lengendary cars behind me. I do have a cool video on Youtube for this day (Autodrome Heritage Festival - Montlhery France)
Cheers

A friend and Porsche fan locally found it after I expressed an interest in an early 911 (I had been considering a late 356B/C intially until I drove his '72T). He got a call from the original owner's wife that she was interested in selling it on since it's been driven very little since her husband's passing in the late '90's. I really lucked out as everything fell into place and I was able to buy at a pretty good price. It's got around 85,000 original miles with a supposed rebuild and an exterior respray (in a sightly darker shade than it's original Albert blue) right before the orginal owner passed away. It needs a few items since it's really been in storage, although it has been driven periodically, the last 13 years. I'll need to sort a few oil leaks and I've discovered a few electrical gremlins that seem to be related to dirty contacts and bad grounds. Overall it's a really solid car with no rust and only a few dings and scrapes. I'd love a set of deep-6's but otherwise I'll just leave it as is and enjoy.
