Karlus, years ago you put the Yellow idea into my head. It was time to act on it!
Well, it’s been too long. We have to get together and turn some turns.
    Happy Chrismas to you.

Thank you Chuck and Jens. I am planning to update the original thread of the car in the following weeks and add some further pictures. Love the car.

I'm thinking painting it in it's original Pastel Blue, but my wife don't likes it very much...

    cheers
Good looking 911 Targa that you have in there.
May I ask you where you made the overhaul of the engine and transmission?
I saw your rally movie on youtube, and it runs smoothly. Congratulations.
I can imagine, once changed, its hard to go back on its original color.
If one of these days you decide to go back, follow the original painting technique used by Porsche in the 70s.

    Best,
    Dennes

    My 1970 Targa

OOPs, sorry of the above post. Thought I was just checking out how to add a photo and it got sent.
This is the 1970 Targa I rebuilt into just what I wanted for myself. To be driven by myself for my enjoyment so please no flamers. It took 2 years and it is just what I had in my minds eye and I just wanted to show it off a little.
Original light yellow color with the only part not repainted was the inside of the of the front hood. Some of the modifications from stock include a high reving MFI 250 hp 7R case all done with squirters, 2.5 liter short stroke, Pauter rods, with std/std 66 mm counterweighted crank, Carrera oil pump, lightweight ASSE flywheel with Kennedy engineering clutch. Mechanical fuel injection from my old 69S rebuilt for the 2.5 liter displacement, billet distributor and MSD. Alloy swing arm conversion with sport Bilsteins.Carrera front fender oil cooler, European headers with super traps, FRP fenders front and rear and lots of other little things I like.
